PimlicalA (A f0or Android D for Desktop) is much like datebk6 but it does
not sync with outlook, not any part of it.
The only way is to sync through Google calendars but I do not recommend that
one bit.

It is promised that WiFi and USB Sync to PimlicalD will happen but that
still is not outlook and it is still vapor ware for that anyway.

I think Outlook direct sync is not going to happen ever and that will be the
downfall of PimlicalA for the business user. For personal use it is by far
the best calendar for the price but for business it is next to useless if
you need Outlook.

I need one very portable device to be both a phone and a PDA for
everyday use and have it sync USB or Wi-Fi with Outlook. I don't really
need a tablet or mini until/unless they get to the point where they are
viable replacements for the full-featured Windows laptop I carry with me
on trips. This is all about productivity.

Mango WP7 looks like a potentially good phone OS (except for hijacking
your SD card which I don't understand). Moreover it seems to be the only
viable alternative to iOS and Android since Nokia ditched Symbian. I'd
very much prefer to keep datebk over other alternatives because of the
time zone functionality and because it works well. I might go to Android
if Android Datebk (or Pimlical if it's the same thing) syncs all fields
with Outlook via USB or Wi-Fi. It's not clear yet if this is the case or
not.

it looks interesting. You might look at that. Say what you want about
Windows, in the end everything runs on it, while the Android and iOS
solutions are much more limited in general functionality.
