Freeze on hotsync at memo, DBFIXIT finds no memo errors

Hi I have Windows 7 and a Tungston E2.  When I sync is always freezes on memo. In the sync list memo shows up twice and it freezes on the second on.  I installed DBFixit and it does not find any errors. Could the error be in the database on the PC side?  Is there something that can check that for errors in the database on the PC?  Telling memo not to sync is not a good fix for me because memos are the most important thing for me to sync.  
Is there some way to export/save the PC database and bring it back?  I have another problem that makes me wonder if uninistalling and reinstalling would be a good idea. I do not want to lose info most of which I put on the PC database not the Tungsten E2 dataabase.
