Hello - It appears from your comment " I see you have an app for Android" that you are addressing this to CESD. He'd answer eventually but a number of us users/forum members try to answer as much as we can so he can keep coding. Specific answers below, but, in general you'll save yourself time if you take the time to read all the Pimlical Desktop and Android documentation, faq's and manuals and direct sync help first, and take a look at the Pimlical Yahoo forum. You do need to migrate your Palm stuff to Pimlical Desktop (P/D) in order to get it to Pimlical Android P/A), can't do it direct from Palm to Android without intermediate steps.
As you'll see by reading the docs, there are two ways to move/sync data between P/D and P/A, either through the web/cloud using Google calendar as intermediary and thus using the Android calendar database on the phone as the db for P/A, or by direct sync using usb cable or local wifi depending on your devices and thus using the local P/A and P/D databases which have nothing to do with Google or the cloud.
P/A will run on an sd card. Depending on the specific device there may be some sync issues to deal with but not show-stoppers.
