Avantgo ?

CurrencyCalc with net updates (still use it)
Weather from Deluxware (still use it, gets multiple cities, etc. etc)
Movies schedule (really clever design, you could switch from by movie/by
theatre, it had a script to fetch guides and make pdb

can't remember anymore right now....
