Here's the deal:
=20
The Palm Desktop V-6.2 will run on all versions of windows running on a
32-bit machine
It will not run at all under a 64-bit version of windows (the installer
fails)=20
It will run if you have a 32-bit version of windows on a 64-bit machine, bu=
t
you will need to use the Aceeca USB drivers in order to sync.
=20
If you have a 64-bit version of windows, your only option is to download an=
d
install the WINDOWS XP MODE software from Microsoft, which sets up a virtua=
l
partition running a 32-bit version of Win XP. I have not tried syncing from
within that partition, but my understanding is that synching should work
fine. That is how I run the Palm V-6.2 desktop on my 64-bit laptop with
64-bit windows and it seems to run normally
=20
I have been told that the Palm V-4.1 desktop will run on a 64-bit version o=
f
windows, but I think that's in error - I'm pretty sure the above would also
apply to the Palm V-4.1 desktop.
=20
If anyone has some comments on the above, please make them!!
=20
Cheers!

I manage to use the aceeva? drivers on my win7=20
64bit installation via the usb cradle.
But it is not very reliable in comparison to XP,=20
often taking several attempts (as it loses connection)
to complete a hotsync.
