<div style="font-family: Verdana;font-size: 12.0px;"><div>Hi,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>after many years of faithful service my Centro is getting a bit temperamental in its old age, so, with a rather heavy heart, I decided to migrate my dateBk 6 data via Pimlical/D to Pimlical/A (for my personal purposes, DateBk6 is much better than Pimlical, because it can do those things that I need extremely well, and none of the endless possibilities Pimlical has beyond DateBk are of any relevance for me).</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Even so, I bought both Pimlical/D and Pimlical/A when they were first published; I love Gorillas! ;-)</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Unfortunately, it now seems, I rarely used the HotSync feature, as I had no use for the Palm Desktop, and for Backup purposes I much preferred backing the whole memory up to Micro SD card with Backup Buddy VFS and then doing a complete backup of the card from my PC to one of my external harddiscs.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Since a fall onto a tiled floor years ago, HotSync had become just about impossible, and as I didn't like it anyhow, I never bothered to have my Centro repaired, as everything else still functioned - to make HotSync work at all I have to move the Centro around in its base until I get a connection and then, pressing down hard, not move it the slightest bit.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>So, my "clever" idea this morning - five hours ago - was to unearth an old T3 (worked perfectly after an hour's charging!), copying the Calendar over to it and HotSync from there.</div>
<div>This did not work at all - if I used a new Calendar from the T3, with just a few items added, HotSync worked perfectly, but the Calendar from the Centro did not sync at all.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>At first I thought that the database (12 MB) might simply be too large, but even when I copied DateBk 6 to the T3 and used it to delete every item in the database, then created just one item for today, both HotSync and the Desktop simply froze and had to be closed via the Windows Task Manager.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Eventually I decided to try to sync directly from the Centro - and this worked perfectly... on attempt eight; on all previous attempts I seem to have moved the Centro slightly and received an error message.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Does anyone have any idea why a database created on a Centro cannot be synced from a T3 (the T3 itself handles the Calendar with ease)?</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Regards,</div>
<div>Jochen K.</div></div>
