How the SHE system handles things if it was daily, weekly, yearly etc.. Let's say you want clean the gutters twice a year. You do it today in April. You would file your card in the front of your October section. When you get to October, you will look at your cards and decide when you want to do the thing. That requires that you -remember- what you might be forgetting to do :-) If you can remember it, then you don't need a card in the first place.

With the SHE system, you are putting it specifically where it needs to be done after you have done it. (Might be a specific date or might just be at the beginning of another month, where you will decide what to do with it when you get there.) It doesn't have to be electronic so that it will come up at the right time.

If a card comes up and you can't do it when you had planned to, then you are supposed to mark it as "skipped" and just file it at the next time you would have done it if you had done it this time. For example, if you are supposed to do it once a week and you don't do it this week.. then file it for next week. If you skip it twice, then you -have- to do it the next time. (To keep you from constantly skipping a task.)

Each day of the week is designed for certain things.. for example, Sunday could be your quiet day, Monday you heavy cleaning day, Tuesday your errand day, Wednesday your light cleaning day, etc.

Then when you get to your October card for "clean the gutters".. you would put it on your "heavy cleaning day" on some Monday in October.
