Just getting back to this, sorry for the delay, we went into the last
final rush of lambing and all else slowed down to a crawl.

Omnifocus synchs via iCal and I regularly get he iCal synch errors
that are described by the missing synch folks. I've gone through the
procedures to clear the problem and that works for a while but usually
only 2-3 synchs. I finally started doing a very careful check of the
data on the treo before and after synch and discovered that even on
times I get the error the data is all there.

So what I do now is synch at least twice a day and at least once a
week clear the iCal errors using the missing synch's procedure. I also
print a hard copy of my calendar monthly and archive it.

There is one issue with Yojimbo. All my old palm memos got rather
easily converted into Yojimbo notes. The title on the palm is whatever
I said it was and that is how I've been used to looking for things.
Unfortunately in Yojimbo all new notes have been coming in with the
title as shown in the treo memo list as the first part of the text New
notes created in Yojimbo use the first part of the text of the note as
the title not the actual title I put in. My work around for now is to
duplicate the Yojimbo title as the first line of a memo and then it
works as I expected.

I do not use Entourage at all. In fact I am not using any Microsoft
products on my Mac now. I still have Office installed on it but as I
access older files I convert them to Open Office formats.

I'm still looking at Pre vs iPhone. Pre has the advantage that is'
Sprint and our phone is a Sprint phone now and they have the best
coverage in the county. I do not like that a lot of my software won't
work on it, the biggie being SplashShopper. It's also at this point
not entirely clear how I would do the Omnifocus synch to the pre.
Yojimbo would use missing synch as the treo does now. As a device I
prefer the Pre because of the keyboard.

The iPhone is lacking a keyboard and uses ATT whose service is poor at
best (only Verizon is worse in our area). But there is a SplashShopper
version, an Omnifocus version and synch of Yojimbo again with missing
synch.

My ideal device/combo would be a new iPhone but one with a keyboard
like the Pre and on the Sprint network. <G>
