Re[6]: viewing notepad on desktop

My setup.exe is 48,843 KB, 9-19-2005. 

According to my notes when I originally downloaded it, it was called

"Palm® Desktop 4.1.4 for Windows"

but what downloaded was 

PalmDesktopWin414EN.zip

This makes it sound like they are changing it without making clear how it is being changed. You would think that my About would say 4.1.4 en but it does not.

I decided not to download 4.1.4 E yesterday because it does not list that it has Note Pad.

I just noticed I do not even have the Photos icon. (I can't use the camera because the button for it does not work. The Palm also does not sync except with IR.)

Maybe what happened was your version has Note Pad etc and mine does not even though they are both 4.1.4 (but the ending may be different.) Or it could be that you had a different desktop installed before 4.1.4 and the data for it got left on when you upgraded to 4.1.4. 

I just realized that Note Pad IS NOT syncing. It is backing up, but not syncing.

I reinstalled my old 4.1.4. It made the Versamail icon come back on but that is all. (I had it hidden before.)

Hopefully that will not mess something up because the installer was thinking I had a new Palm I was trying to set up.

I thought the 71 was OS5?

Yes that is the type of info I found when I looked, although those are not the same exact posts I saw.
