Tom -

I previously suggested Time and Chaos (http://chaossoftware.com/). I have been running my life on TC for more than fifteen years and have never seen anything to replace it.

If you really need to go totally mobile, Try Portable Apps (http://portableapps.com/) Install the Portable apps then TC.

Here is one more list of portable apps to add to your true pocket computer, Smashing Magazine USB web development tools (http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2009/09/29/40-desert-island-web-development-tools/).

I have a fairly well equipped 4Gb drive that still has room for documents. If you buy a new USB drive and like TC and buy that as well, you can have a very complete computer in your pocket for about $100.

Good luck
