Interesting. I've seen this message before, the spammers glommed onto address books of the senders, who were completely unaware that an email like this had been sent out ostensibly from them. I've received this same message from applicants to our residency program, but actually their valid email addresses were hijacked to send out the spam (Yes, this has happened several times in the last 3 years). When I contacted the "sender", they were shocked and apologetic that this email had seemed to come from them. (Why would they be asking for money from their possibly future medical training program?) Please check with the user before banning them, I'd bet dollars to donuts that this was not intentional.
