I loved my Palm products but I switched to an iPhone a couple of years ago.=
I would still like to find something with the ease of use of Palm's PIM f=
unctions, but there are a couple of things about the iPhone that keep me fr=
om ever going back.
First, no more syncing. That's a big plus for me, especially with a home a=
nd a work computer that I was always trying to keep synced with the Palm. =
Now, using google based applications (calendar, contacts, and tasks) and Si=
mplenote as a memos replacement, any changes I make on one device are autom=
atically synced to the others.
The other is email and especially the web browser. They are much superior =
on the iPhone.
There are other things that are nice, but not critical. It's nice having t=
he gps built into the phone without having to connect to an external gps. =
Wifi is more user friendly. Apps are cheaper (and available).
It's frustrating because Palm had so much going for it, but they let everyo=
ne catch up and pass them.
