I didn't mean to imply anything about your goals as you didn't specify what the goals with .NET rewrite or possible rewrite would be. If it's just to learn a new programming environment and Windows Phone 7 development which is .NET then I agree using .NET is the the one and only possibility. If the goal is to get HS to run across different operating systems and different devices and device categories with as little extra work as possible then there's for example QT framework which addresses the above criteria very well. QT has bindings for many languages also. But I apologize for the interruption, I just wanted to spread the knowledge of in my opinion the best cross platform framework.
