I've been using HS on my PocketPC for quite awhile.  I've just bought a
WP7 and since I'm a .Net developer, I have been looking into porting HS
to it.

Over the past month I've put together a prototype with the following
capabilities:

    * Read/display from different databases i.e. Multi-store, etc...
    * Search for items
    * Switch between "All" and "Need"

I still have to add the ability to save changes.

Because there is no built-in database within WP7 (at least the API's are
not documented), I'm using XML while database issue gets sorted-out.  I
don't know C++, so porting the HS datalayer to C# might be a problem. 
There are other database providers that might fit the bill.

Importing existing data -- Yes, this is definitely an issue that MUST be
addressed, and I've been researching alternatives.  Some ideas including
making use of DropBox to allow syncing between the phone and other
desktops.  The PDB could be exported to XML or CSV, then imported into
the phone.  Also, hopefully Microsoft will increase the SkyDrive support
with WP7.  Currently you can only sync OneNote documents.

Well, anyway, I'll keep working on it.

Also, I'm working on a desktop Handy Shopper app.
