Staci - did you used to get the warning every time you closed the program by clicking on the X button (before it was changed)? Or did you get it from time to time? I don't even click the X button (it isn't shown in my case), but I do send the program to the background (hold the Home button). There's one thing that could influence the program - I have installed it to the storage card, and when I power off the device and power it back on the storage card takes a few seconds until it is accessible. During this time the program may crash (if it is trying to do something) and this is when I loose data. I will try to reinstall in in the main memory and see if I can get rid of the problem. First thing I did was find the setting that has been suggested; clicking the "X" no longer closes the program. I also discovered the save feature in the tools menu.
