[HS] Weird Edit menu text bug [screencap included]

Device: Axim X3i (WM2003)
HS Version: v3.2 build 6516

Bug Description:
When in 'Item View' (the page with [Item | Note | Stores] tabs), if I click 'Edit' at the bottom of the screen, in the menu that pops up, the item below 'Delete Note...' appears as non-readable square characters.

Further Observations:
Clicking the squares-text results in a "Delete this item?" prompt, indicating that the expected text in the menu should be "Delete item".

I thought the problem might be that my device's language setting is set to 'English (Canada)' rather than English (United States), but no, changing to that, or any other English regional variant does not product readable text for that menu item.

Checking the HS .exe file's menu tree in ResourceHacker, I did not spot see anything unusual with the text for 'Delete item'. Therefore, I'm stumped.
