Notes on icons

Hello, 
I'M new to this forum, but have used Icon Manager for quite a while
now. I use it in combination with DateBk6.
The reason i write now is that I have always wondered if there would
be a way to keep a note or name for each icon. I don't think it's
possible neither in IconMgr nor in DateBk.
So I'm getting my expectations down : does anybody know a possibility
to print all of the icons in an icon set ? To get the Iconset somehow
on the desktop (e.g. copying the iconset file on an extension card).
But are there any programms that will be able to view the icons on a
desktop (Windows XP) computer ?
This would be sufficient for me to add a short name to each icon, so
that I can look up icons that I use rarely ... well yes, I have a bad
memory :-)

any ideas are welcome
