How do I convert .bmp/.ico files on my PC for use in IconManager?

I have image (.jpg, .bmp, et al) and icon (.ico) files on my PC that I
would like to use on my Treo via Icon Manager. Can someone help me
understand how to get them from my PC to my handheld?
