Creating Icons

Hi Everyone!

I've been finding this group to be very useful, so I'm going to ask 
for help.  I'm trying to create icons, (from logos,pic files), so I 
can use with my datebook, but I don't know how to create them on my 
PC.  I've tried converting the bmp files to a lower resolution and 
then importing them into Icon Manager and still not having any luck.  
Is there a specific program you would recommend to convert pic files 
or create icons for datebooks?  I'm sure this has come up before, so 
if someone can direct me the previous posts in regards to this or help 
me, that would be great!
