Hi Friends:
My web page is gone. RoadRunner planned it that way except that it forgot to
notify the users in advance. I guess they figured out that if someone misses
the web pages, they will eventually contact them. I can only revive the web
page if I am on the RoadRunner network. Since I am out of town, I can't fix
it until I get home. I could give a long story about the literally bizarre
e-mail exchanges I had with technical support. The stupidity of the
RoadRunner technical department is unlimited (but they respond to e-mail very
fast).
It is not only RoadRunner, but it seems that the majority of US businesses
don't understand the concept that there are countries outside the US, there
are currencies besides USD, there are timezones in addition to the ones used
in the US, there are people who don't speak English, etc.

P.S. Out of curiosity, to our German friends, how does one make a collect
phone call from Germany, especially if one has one of those FritzBox phone
lines? My VISA card says: from abroad, call collect. BTW, to an old enough
American, the word FritzBox sounds very funny (Hogan's Heroes, etc.).
