a cell phone question - OFF TOPIC

Dear Friends:

I must get a new (US) cell phone service and a new cell phone.

My current Treo 755p is a great Palm but a very bad cell phone with Sprint
(poor sound quality).

My only candidates for a new cell phone are: Centro, 755p, and Pre.  I am not
interested in any other cell phone.

My only requirement is: excellent sound quality, approaching the one of
landlines.

Any suggestions? Carrier and phone?

NOTE. In several European countries the sound quality of cellphones that I
tested was essentially identical to landlines (Centro and numerous Nokia
models).

NOTE. If I can't find a perfect phone/carrier combo, then I might be willing
to consider other smartphones too but I really don't want to do this.
