i think what i need is to replace two or more consecutive EOL CR/LF with
single one (not sure if it is an EOL ? CR ? LF ? or CR/LF ?)

I've just tried in pEdit s/r, used it twice with

find: graffiti '//'
replace with: graffiti '/

I then have like:

This is a webpage label:
this is text that I want

another label:
more stuff I want

----
how do I get rid of one or more words ending in ':' up to an including ':'?
