Sounds exciting to me. As a developer, I can see potential for this
approach. Thanks Rick!

Subject: Re: [progect] Progect new conduit

Just to be clear, the converter program and the conduit will obviously
work for Progect, but it has been designed to be able to convert *any*
Palm database to XML (or whatever) given an appropriate plugin has been
written.

Now, we will have to see how easy that is to implement once I start
working on the conduit code, but certainly the library that the conduit is
based on will have this characteristic.

I really expect this library and the conduit (if it's possible to support
more than Progect) to make a big mark on the world. XML is a very good
format for interoperating with different software programs, being able to
convert any Palm database you care about to the format of the desktop
program you want is a really big thing. Of course, converters will have to
be written, but the library is designed to make it easy and quick.

And of course, if it's hard, then the library will have to be rewritten,
again...
