Data loss and interminable hot-syncs

Recently, I ran across a couple of problems and was wondering if
anyone could help me diagnose what's going on. Versions: Progect 0.29,
PDesk Beta 7.

I had done significant editing of a project in PDesk, and experienced
the normal duplication of entries on Progect -- no big deal. After one
hot sync, the PDesk project was severly truncated, only about 20% of
the entries remained. I did some copying of backups and moving around
and ended up not losing anything important.

However, now my HotSyncs are not terminating (40 min and counting
right now). It appears to hang Synchronizing Progect <-> PDesk.

Any ideas?
