Hi Tom, I did as suggested (or at least I think I did ;-) - I uninstalled PDesk and re-installed a fresh copy from Sourceforge (v8.0.5) - There, I found the CSV plugins and did as suggested (below): a) removed the csv.pyd from the plugins folder, b) opened the file CSVInOut.py and added a '#' at the beginning of the line to make it a comment line (same as deleting it?) Then I open PDesk and: a) create a small project (3 tasks, one date, one note), b) save it as a normal project (.pdk) c) export it as CSV document. Then I close the project and try to retrieve it, a) select 'file', 'open' and select the filename.pdk. b) It loads well, I can see exactly the project as I created it. Just what I expected since this is what I currently use for my work. Then I close everything and try to re-import it, a) before I can import, I discovered I had to create a blank project (is this normal or not?), b) the blank project here, I select 'file', 'import' and 'csv', c) I see the csv file I had saved before, I select it and...... .....and nothing happens! the project page is still blank! When I open the 'csv' file with a text editor (wordpad for example), I can see the information I had created, so the file looks ok to me. What did I do wrong? thanks --- In [email protected], "Tomas" <dr.tom@...> wrote: > > quick fix: use the original plugin, just delete the csv.pyd file, and > from the CSVInOut.py, delete the line that says "import csv". > I very quickly tested here and it seemed to work, but can't guarantee > that. > > I will upload the fixed plugin as soon as I test it more, and after I > will get the upload access for the Files section. > > Tom > Remember to visit Polls, Files and Bookmarks sections at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/progect.
