I am now using the .egg format, you should be able to use that to manage 
the dependencies and to install it correctly.

You probably don't want to use the SVN code right this minute, I may have 
some broken stuff checked in.

You can though install it from the .egg format. If you install the 
ez_install.py or whatever it's called script, it should be able to find 
and download PalmDB for you along with it's dependencies.

You probably want to do the Mac OSX "User" install, directions on 
how to do that are at the link below (and if you follow the links 
you should be able to find the easy_install script).

At any rate, easy_install can put the files wherever you want (using 
command line switches), but putting it in a non-standard location will 
somehow cause you more work.
