desktop installed, not showing up in Hotsync

I haven't used the desktop since I got a new computer years ago. I just downloaded the desktop version again (I'm registered for both) but no matter what I do, Shadow sync doesn't appear in the Hotsync list. I am running Windows XP. Any suggestions? Thanks, Russell
