Jeff, No, I never typed the file tag, I never do that. I just tapped save and wrote "2009-09 Diary", nothing more, and then saved it. I have tried converting it by doing a "save as" and made sure the file type was XML, but I get the same thing. Open Raw is for opening PDB files; perhaps you saved it with an ".xml" name, but in actuality it is a PDB file? ie: Did you 'save as pdb' and name it .XML?
