Hi all: I have a confession: I set out on an attempt to create a FileMaker database that would run on an iPad and have most of the features of Shadow (it would have been for my own use, and not to sell). To do that, I started writing out (on file cards) all the things I'd need to do and create in FileMaker to make that database. I also looked at all the functions of Shadow. And I gave up. I'm not a programmer. I've made a few relatively simple databases, but to recreate Shadow is just beyond me; not only in terms of programming, but the sheer size of the project boggled my poor brain. Meantime, during that aborted quest, I discovered features of Shadow that I didn't know existed, and I'm using it even more extensively than before. I'm loving Shadow more than ever on my Tungsten E2, despite its misaligned screen and power switch that's starting to fail, but I'm wondering what the Hqiz I'll do when the Palm dies. The end of the story (so far) is that I have new respect for the program and the programmer! Cheers, Neil Slater Regina
