My final Palm has died

Well, it has finally happened and my last Palm has died. This means that My=
only access to Shadow is on the PC, so hard decisions are being made.=20
I think I have been fairly loyal to the Palm platform over the years and th=
ey have not always been very resilient. Or perhaps I am just a little heavy=
handed...
This is palm casualty list:
Palm III.....(Stolen)
Handera......(Broken screen)
Handera......(Broken screen)
Handera......(Run over by car)
Treo 650.....(Slowly fell to pieces)
Treo 680.....(Broken screen)
Treo 680.....(Broken screen)
LifeDrive....(Suddenly died)
The decision has been made not prolong the agony by buying another one. The=
only reason I have bought the last 3 devices was to continue with ShadowPl=
an.
Some of my lists on SP are very useful and some are absolutely mission crit=
ical. I realise that I still have access to SP on the PC and that is great =
but the ability to sync with something mobile like a palm is soooooo useful=
. In the absence of an alternative to SP I have come up with different solu=
tions for different lists and I thought that some of you may be interested.=
I am certainly receptive to other suggestions.
GTD "To Do" type List...
SP is great for GTD but I have migrated to mGSD (Formerly known as Monkey G=
TD)...http://mgsd.tiddlyspot.com/#mGSD. Basically it is a wiki on one html =
file. I have put this on a server and can access from anywhere. This works =
fantastically well.
Shopping type lists...
Back to a pen and paper. This is painful but working OK for now.
Check lists...
These are my check lists for Holidays, building servers, installing cabling=
etc. Not found a good solution yet so am still using them on SP.
Tech support type List...
This is a big problem for me because this is a massive list and useful to h=
ave in a portable format. Basically this is a repository of hardware and so=
ftware problems and the soutions I have used successfully. It uses the Note=
s field extensively.=20
My possible solutions at the moment are:
