It is very likely that this temporary change will cause the installer to
work properly.
T5 users, please give it a try BUT BE VERY CAREFUL WITH REGEDIT!!!:

1) Uninstall Java Conduit.
2) add hotsync.exe's directory to the windows global "Path" variable
(regedit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\
CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\Environment):
   before => Path="c:\windows\system32\"
   after  => Path="c:\windows\system32\;c:\Program Files\palmOne\"
3) Reinstall conduit
4) Restore windows global "Path" variable (or not)

Here is what I've found so far; looks like we might have to update the
conduit as our next project...
