Possible Explanation of some of my problems

I just learned after much frustration that in the new desktop (unlike  my Sony Clie' ) that all of the backup is not in one folder. I may have corrupted some things because of that, not certain.
The plus side is that I recently installed the backupbuddy V3 desktop. This takes a checkpoint with EVERY hotsync so I can return to any state or even pick individual files,
I don't know if this is relevant or not but it will certainly get me back up after a crash, Only changed data is saved but a log of every change makes it a smart program indeed. It is similar to GoBack for Windows but better.
