T5 can post news but polling is inop

Hi all!

My first posting here - and as german is my native tongue - pls have
mercy :)

Since two years I used (free) yanoff with a Handera HE330 and this
worked perfectly. My upgrade to T5 has brought a lot of troubles. I
could mend some of them, but others still are there, making the use of
yanoff+ rather *limited*

My desktop computer runs a well proven Windows XPpro

T5 brought the hotsync manager 6.0.1  this is a known source of
trouble I have found out...

First things first:
I did download and install, the yanoff+  (and I am still waiting for
the keyfile although paypal sent the money on Dec 18.)

Then I took jsyncinstaller 4.02a and installed - did OK.
Then I got yanoff Conduit 1.0pre9 and installed - did fail.

There was no yanoff conduit to be seen in my hotsyncmanager. Some
reading... aha, I have to update the  sync20.dll in my Palm-Folder.
So I did and now there *is* a conduit within my hotsyncmanager.

The server, adress, identity... settings inside yanoff are ok (as far
as I can see.

Hotsync fires off the conduit, identification and authentification at
my newsserver work and I *can* post newsarticles to every newsgroup I
choose. 
(Sending mail is impossible lacking the PrePop3- Ident, but this is a
thing for later struggle)

Here is a cutout of my last Hotsync- protocol and I have some
questions about it, that you might be able to explain to me.

Why does it say conduit 1.0pre8   I thought I installed 1.0pre9

Why does it say Yanoff version 2.0?  In my T5 yanoff says it is
Version 3.1 (09/09/05)

What does ist mean: "Mailed 1"?  I didn't send a Mail in this turn.


So please help me find out why I cannot poll News!
I would like to get to know all the new features, but with no incoming
articles this is a very, very academic trial  :-)
