Feel free to post here; there are quite a few experienced users and the
developer of New Yanoff, Gregg Woodcock, is a frequent contributor.

What happens when you try and log on? Are you getting any errors?  Are you
going through the hotsync conduit, wifi, bluetooth?

And when you say that "the newsgroups require signon access" do you mean the
server requires a password (not the newsgroup itself)?  If the server requires
a password, are you setting that up in Server Preferences, and checking the
Auth option?

Newsgroups themselves do not require passwords if there are indeed usenet
newsgroups.  If you are instead meaning something like yahoo groups, then
yanoff is not designed for those (I wish it was....hint, hint Gregg).
