You do it by contacting the gmane.org crew and submitting a request 
that the Yahoo group in question be added to their FREE and WONDERFUL 
conversion service.  Upon approvale (fairly automatic), they will 
create an NNTP feed on their NNTP server (news.gmane.org) which will 
support your yahoo group.  This is what I did for the Yanoff Yahoo 
group.  This is one of the few default subscriptions that are added the 
first time a user installs New Yanoff.
