This is true; I am working on speeding up the housekeeping...

This is a user-selectable setting in Misc Prefs.

There was a buggy version released for about the first 20 hours and was
immediately updated.
If this is happening to anybody else EMAIL ME and I'll talk you through
steps to get this fixed
(it is a bit involved).  I apologize for this mistake!
