Hello Just received back my simpad - it's now a super-simpad, with 128 MB of Ram showing up in windows ce. The work seems cleanly done - I'm eager to start playing with it but I've got lot of work (back into my residency - Hematology currently) I'll post a detailed review later, but so far I'm extremely happy. Only the warranty seal was broken - never mind, I plan to try to craft in the bluetooth module very soon (thanks a lot to Werner !) anyway. A question - what exactly should I change to have 50 Mb of ram and the rest in ramdisk? (can I just hexedit a released zimage or do I painfully have to recompile) ? I may have already asked but I can't find back the answer. I guess it's some mem= parameter to say it's got 128, but I'm curious for the ram disk. On my todo list in no specific order: - upgrade to the latest bootloader and make kernel 2.6.5 work - make bluetooth work (may be much harder than expected because the module lacks an antenna) - make sandisk connect + (128 Mb flash + wifi) work That's a lot. I hope some opie voip project will start so I can just use the result on the definitive killer machine - the super simpad, 128 Mb ram, 128 Mb flash, integrated wifi and bluetooth. Expected additional cost for fellow simpad owner who would like to try - 280 Eur, most of it for the memory, 60 Eur for wifi + flash. I must also say that I'm also now a (very) happy SL 6000 owner. I hope it will be openzaurused soon (I'm starting to play with the kernel sources) but even now I'm having lots of fun with it. The screen is just amazing. But it's different than the simpad - I like them both for their specific things. Reading on the 6000 is a pain - the simpad screen is larger and therefore more confortable, even if it doesn't support light as well. Bien a vous - Best regards, Guylhem P.
