Yes, the bootldr now runs only on Simpads with 32MB Flash.
Maybe it works on the Simpads with only 16 MB but it will still
assume 32 MB and fail while flashing.

Bootldr only has 2 partitons on Flash.
Bootldr 256k
Root rest of Flash

The kernel is in the rootfs which is a JFFS2.
Bootldr can read JFFS2 and find the kernel.
You create the JFFS2 image with mkfs.jffs2
