Hi Suspend is controlled by a combination of hardware and software. The boot loader has an important role here, but the OS also has to save states in the low level routines. Hardware support is also needed to save power of course. On SA1110 everything goes through the reset state. In a register the boot loader can see the cause of the reset. The register says if it was a sleep reset or something else. If it was a sleep reset the system must not need to be reinitialized, but the drivers must restore the state in the OS.
