Hi Florian, Thanks for new image!!! GPE is my preffered distro on SimPad (I need true X Windows for remote display), so I flashed it to one of my SimPads last night. I still have garbage on the screen after some suspends (it happened one or twice, so I need to investigate further). What I need much more is LAN connectivity. After flashing new image I inserted NE2000 compatible PCMCIA and SimPad started to complain: module /lib/modules/2.4.27-vrs1-pxa1-jpm1/pcmcia/pcnet_cs.o not available I guess I need to load "pcnet-modules" package (according to this package description, it contains pcnet_cs NE2000 compatible driver). The question is where I could find such package? Your "http://handhelds.org/~florian/simpad/" has feeds for older kernel (2.4.19) and I doubt they will work with current one (2.4.27) Regards, -Darek On Thursday 24 of November 2005 12:25, Florian Boor wrote: > Hi all, > > if someone is interested - i'm just uploading a new GPE/Familiar based image for > the Simpad SL4 to this location: > http://handhelds.org/~florian/simpad/gpe-image-simpad-20051123214910.rootfs.jffs2 > > After Koen added the APM fix for the Xserver suspend is working properly. > Wireless netwoking (using the orinoco_cs driver) works. > The image includes latest GPE bits which are close to the 2.7 release as well as > gaim and Sylpheed. > > Enjoy! > Greetings > > Florian
