Wow. Opening opie mixer crashes the simpad. Yet I haven't flashed december 2003
release based on 1.0.3 - that may be the reason.
I will try to reflash it this afternoon
[Regarding crackles, I can reproduce them restarting opie - I think it's related
to some hardware access made by opie at startup time instead of just opening the
device, but I'd have to try to boot without any kind of gui to test that]
