Well well I *no longer need this* :-)

After some extensive tests of the keyboard, the serial port, etc. I realised the
problem was in input-attach [which should be removed from the distribution BTW
since it makes the kernel crash].

My solution : get qpe-flexis. replace /dev/ttyS0 in one file by /dev/ttySA0.
recompile. install the ipk, restart opie, select "flexis" and test - IT WORKS!

I'm done with that thing. Ok it looks easy [stupid port name convention] but
I've been trying various software combinations, serial port setup (speed, etc)
for a very long time until I realised the ibiz, the serial cable and serial port
as well but the mistake was in the software. Now it works just fine [if you
don't press the green button which hangs my simpad]

Crossposted to opie lists where someone asked me the solution 2 weeks ago [while
still looking for it]
