Holger Freyther recently ported the SIMpad specifics into 2.6.0-test and
we got it booting right into Opie with a working LCD and touchscreen.
Guylhem also wanted to help porting the stuff into a recent 2.6.x
kernel.

The last important message on that subject was recently on the archives
(reading archives is a good idea, btw.). I'll quote it here:

So I think it will be pretty easy to bring the SIMpad to 2.6 although
some things will still be missing like mq200 accelleration (Juergen, if
you no longer have time for SIMpad work, can you at least please post
the code you have for the accelleration?)
