Palm Desktop crashes on startup

I had to download Palm Desktop 4.1 because of a computer crash. After
I installed and ran the first Hotsync, Palm Desktop crashes when I try
to open it. I have tried on three different computers and no luck.
Could it be data from the Tungsten that is corrupting the Palm Desktop?
Any ideas?
