Is it officially done for?

I was entering some scheduling data this afternoon and the digitizer started acting a littlw wonky (what's new??).  I tapped the unit on the left side.  Nothing.  I then inserted the stylus into the hole in the back for a soft reset.  My screen is now flashing.  If I press the power button I get a message
Erase all data?
Yes = "up" button
No = any other button

If I hit "any other button" it goes back to flashing.
I suppose I could hit the "up" button since I HotSynched this a.m and the only thing I stand to lose are the few entries I made just prior to this happening..
Oh, and I just tried to hot synch.  No response  -- just the constant flashing.
