I agree with the other group member that any NEMA, bluetooth GPS will
work with the TX. I personally use the GlobalSat BT-338 which has the
  most current SiRF3 chipset.

There is a HUGE (repeat HUGE) difference between handheld mapping
programs. If you are looking for the best, fastest, most complete,
most user-friendly program for your handheld, then you need to buy
TomTom Navigator for Palm. I'm using it and it works GREAT! After
using Delorme's Street Atlas for handheld, TomTom is light years
ahead. The only drawback is that it costs $150. But let me tell you,
it's worth every nickel if you travel alot. I am in sales and travel
frequently and it will map you directly to an address, a point of
interest (hotel, gas station, restaurant, etc.), city or zip code. It
has an enormous database of detailed POI's (Point of Interests) for
every city. You must have a 1GB SD card to load this on your TX. I've
used Mapopolis and TomTom comes complete with every city in the US and
Canada. No extras to buy and no subscription. I can't emphasize the
readability of TomTom while you're driving and the ease of navigating
by using your finger to change options since the icons are designed to
be used without the stylus (they're large enough for fat fingers).

I just took a vacation to Phoenix, the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Jerome and
back to Phoenix. The TomTom software worked flawlessly. I would
  highly recommend it!
