Hi, all!

I'm looking for some help with a potential hard reset of my T3 and a
clearing of the 1 GB card at the same time. (The card's not even half full,
but it does contain some of those annoying little program files that cannot
seem to be deleted -- and I'm not sure what to touch and what to leave.)
I've had many programs on and off the device and, thanks to ZLauncher, quite
a few apps moved to the card. Everything is functioning fine; but it's time
to get rid of the files that aren't needed -- and I can't always tell which
ones those are. I also want to clear some device space, as I have a fairly
large program I want to be able to reinstall. (I deleted it a few weeks ago
as it didn't seem to have the space needed to run properly.)

Here's my plan; I'd appreciate it if somone could let me know if I'm missing
anything.

1. Perform a Hot Sync and back up the card to the pc.
2. Rename Palm Backup folder.
3. Delete everything on the card.
4. Hard reset Palm.
5. Sync again. This should give me back all my PIM info.
6. Start adding programs back onto the device/card, a few at a time. (No
conflicts right now, but in case of problems with newer versions.)

I think I can just look into the backup folder to get back many things and
to see what was there. I plan to download most programs to ensure I have the
latest versions that work with a T3, but I see no reason not to just reload
some things from backup -- ebooks, Thought Manager entries and that type of
thing.

Is there an easy way to reload the ZLauncher preferences so I don't have to
go back and recreate everything? How about HiLauncher? And Wordsmith entries
should float back on the sync after I reinstall that program, correct?

I haven't had to do a hard reset in so long I'm afraid I've forgotten a
step!

Thanks to any who have taken the time to read this and can offer advice.

Bea
