I would look into a "power-to-go".

They can be had for $35-45 new

They are quite light and you should get at least two full charges out of
one.

Subject: [Tungsten_T] Charge life on a cycle trip.

	I'm planning a trip on the C & O Canal near Wahington, DC, 184
miles,
averaging 30-40 miles a day at about 8-9 MPH, and will be using
my TT &
GPS, does anyone know of a way to maintain battery charge?
Weight is a
very large concern as everything will be on my back - there's no

luggage space on a Coker unicycle (that's why only 8-9 MPH) and
every
gram will sit on the front of my, um, seat, causing that part o`
me bum
to go numb (that's why only 30-40 MPD). There will be at least
one
overnight where there will be no outlets available (primitive
camping)
and, short of a really long extension cord, I worry that the TT
(and
the GPS for that matter, but it's got a longer charge life)
won't last
for the whole day. I'm already planning on having the back-light
and
the beam receive turned off, but bluetooth will be required to
	communicate with the GPS.

I've already considered solar - although they are either very
brittle
or large - and may have to go that route. Has anyone measured
the
current draw of a TT after it's fully charged and on?
