Can't sync Palm after adding HP Photo printer 7280

I purchased a new printer for my PC so I can have better quality 
scanning & printing my photos. However, I can't sync my Palm TX with my 
PC ever since I installed my new printer. I gets hung up on the sync at 
the beginning of the process. Of course the HP people were no help to 
me. Help, please!
