Final application deadline - why is there one ?

Hi !
I might have not got this info, but
why is there a deadline for the final ????
I mean, is there some other prize at the end ?
Or if I don't finnish Ki-chul Lee will come here and take my Zaurus away ?

I have asked this question before, and did not get an answer, that's way I 
ask again - for the last time :). Or you don't know either ?
I mean spending like a full working month so far(!) on this for a Zaurus is 
great, but that's still much below U.S. minimal wage, it would not even 
be a very good sallary here in Hungary for this kind of job for me. Well its 
an application covered by GPL, most of the work was not done by me, and
of course I am not working for sharp in any way, but  still, this 
"competition" makes laugh  :]
And then they say the final's deadline will be extended - what a relief ! :]]
(and of course for all this we get the stripped down zaurus, which they can't
sell now anyway)

Well, sorry for waisting your time with my personal problems - but am I 
missing here something ?
